About Emily
I’m Emily Kovacic, a fashion photographer based in Pittsburgh, PA.
My start came from a very different world — live music. I spent my early photography days in concert photo pits, learning how to work quickly in fast, unpredictable environments. That experience shaped how I see and shoot today: paying attention to timing, energy, and finding balance within movement and chaos.
While completing my BFA in Photography at Point Park University, I fell in love with fashion photography and the creative space it allows. Since then, I’ve focused on editorial and commercial imagery that feels expressive, current, and grounded. I enjoy working with both new and experienced models, focusing on what makes each individual feel natural and confident on camera.
Photography, for me, is about creating images that work — for portfolios, personal expression, brand identity, and digital platforms. Sessions are guided and intentional, allowing space for people to feel present rather than over-directed. Whether shooting in studio or on location, my approach is always the same: creating imagery that blends style, personality, and intention while remaining usable and purposeful.
